About Our Produce

What is available to buy?

You can buy seasonal, fresh vegetables, eggs and salads grown here at Forglen Farm. As the products become harvestable, they will be uploaded to the website and available to order.

We also offer products from select local producers, whose products we love and think you will too.

Is everything grown on your farm?

All the vegetables, microgreens and eggs, have been grown at our farm. However, we do offer produce from trusted local producers who share our standards.

Is the produce organic?

No, we are not organic certified.

Why isn't every product available to buy each week?

Everything we grow is seasonal, which means product availability changes, as the seasons change. We are very much dependent on the weather and it has a big impact on how much is available and when.

How fresh is the produce?

Exceptionally fresh. Most items are harvested within 24 hours of delivery. That’s the advantage of small‑scale, local growing.

Do I need to wash the veg?

We recommend you wash everything before eating.

What if I have allergies?

If you have any questions regarding allergens, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Is your packaging recyclable?

We are aiming for our packaging to either be reusable or recyclable. The microgreens packaging and egg boxes are both fully recyclable.

Placing an order

How do I order?

Browse the shop and add everything you want to your basket. Then follow the instructions on screen to checkout.

Is there a minimum order value?

Yes, £5, before delivery charges.

Are you offering veg boxes?

Rather than offering a mystery veg box, we are allowing you to pick and choose what you want, when you it: a build-your-own box.

Items grown/produced at Forglen Farm are eligible for our Build Your Own Box multi-buy discounts. Items from other local producers do not contribute towards multi-buy discounts. For more information on the discounts available, please see our offers page.

Why are you offering veg boxes in this way?

Before launching the boxes, we surveyed potential customers and their main concern was wasting produce, either because the box contained unwanted or unfamiliar items or if they included too much produce. We hope by offering a build your own box option it reduces waste, and customers get exactly what they want.

Subscriptions

Are you offering subscriptions?

We have decided not to offer subscriptions, at the moment, but this is something we may offer at a later date.

Delivery and Collection

Do you offer delivery?

Yes, we offer delivery, if you live within 6 miles of Aberchirder, Banff, Huntly or Turriff. The easiest way to check if we deliver to you is to use the postcode checker on the cart page (you will need to add a product to your cart first). If you live outside our delivery areas, please get in touch with us.

How much is delivery?

At the moment delivery is £1 per order, this may change in the future.

What if I’m not home for delivery?

No problem. Contactless deliveries are common: just tell us about a safe place for us to leave your delivery. You can use the special instructions section on the cart page, to do this.

When do you deliver?

Currently, we deliver on a Thursday and most deliveries are conducted during the day. If you would like an evening delivery , please add this information to your order, using the special instructions section on the cart page.

Can I ask for the delivery to be at specific time?

At the moment, we do not have the capacity to deliver at a specific time. If you do not think you will be in to collect your order, please leave the details of a safe place when you place the order. Alternatively, get in touch with us ahead of ordering.

Is there somewhere I can collect my order from?

At the moment we only offer delivery.
